"I founded Skyrocket after seeing over and over again the difficulty and frustration families felt navigating the path to obtaining services for their children. Parents are left frustrated and alone while children start developmental services much later than they should. I created an organization to help parents get info, support, and the services their children need."

Rachel has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages with speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language delay, social communication disorders, Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, rare genetic disorders, and others.

She has extensive training in evaluation and treatment methods for motor speech disorders, including PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol.

She has a background in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy; she was a behavior therapist during her undergraduate years and then worked at an ABA company for 5 years as a speech therapist.

Rachel's biggest passion has always been identifying kids as early as possible who could benefit from services and helping families navigate the funding process and find services.
